Social Enterprise UK: report

Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) is the national body for businesses with a social or environmental purpose. In December 2024, I joined the team on a short-term contract to strengthen their communications and help shape the brand for social enterprise.

A key SEUK service is the Buy Social Corporate Challenge (BSCC), which partners with corporates with the aim of getting them to spend £1 billion on social enterprises through procurement over ten years.

The annual BSCC report promotes the challenge and strengthens partner relationships. With two years remaining, SEUK wanted a fresh approach to motivate existing partners and attract new ones. I proposed shifting from a text-heavy print format to a bold, digital-first design optimised for screens.

I reduced the word count and directed the designer to emphasise key points with strong visuals consistent with partner media packs. With a new slogan, punchier assets, and more impactful copy, the social media campaign achieved a 33% engagement rate and 25% click-through rate - SEUK's best results of the year. It also helped develop relationships with two new corporates.

"Lee improved the look and feel of the report this year."
